Would we choose a Sprinter again

Someone recently emailed me and asked me some questions about expediting. One of their other questions was if we had to choose a vehicle again would we still have gone with the Sprinter.

At the time when Nick bought the Sprinter, April of 2007, I was not in the picture. At that time he had access to get whatever type of vehicle he wanted to. Due to being new to the business he decied that it was best to go with a Sprinter over the straight truck that he had picked. He placed an order for a custom Sprinter and had been told it was going to be 6 weeks.  He was then later called and told it was going to be 6 months. Due to working for an owner that was not the best, he needed to get out from under him, and found the Sprinter that we have now, as a dealer left over. He opted for the higher payments and shorter finance term, due to the fact that when it was paid off it would give him time to save more money for the next vehicle. As most companies only accept vans 5 years old or less. Yes a Sprinter is more maintence intensive, and yes it is expensive to maintain if you are rough on it. That cost is also offset by the positive reasons that helped in purchasing decision. Such as being able to have an advantage over a regular cargo van by hauling 3 skids or taller freight. The fuel mileage was also a big bonus. But the most important reason to Nick was being able to stand up and put his pants on.

It has been very good to us. We made it through the "recession" with it, and are happy where we are. Would we choose a Sprinter if we were doing it all over again? Probably. But now there are two of us to make that decision :)
